Icons: Wrestling 20in20 Round13: Shawn Michaels

This is the first time I've been brave (or stupid!!) enough to enter an icontest of any sort. The ones over at wrestling20in20 are awesome and what inspired me to take the plunge, join up and have a go. I'm not a fantastic graphic artist but I need a load of new ones so why not make myself do them now and themed on someone I never tire of looking at!!?

Anyway, hit the link and they're there. Honest but not harsh comments welcome - me and Gimp are slowly learning to love each other and I'm a relative noob who's thinking of sticking to writing :)

Ooooh, Shawny~ I already forgot how much I actually liked him back in the good old days. D":

Your first time making icons? ..Doesn't really look like it, these are all.. So.. Gorgeous! I couldn't help myself noticing though that you seem to like adding text everywhere? :"D I think there was only one without text.. But anyway, let's not give too much into that madness.

The Dark, Photoshoot and Devious ones are just simply awesome. That's pretty much all I can say. And the coloring in these.. Aaw.

They are all really good, the cropping and coloring especially. Good work.. And that's all I can say. These are so good they actually make me speechless. XD

Honestly, I've made less than a dozen before these and there's some real disasters in them - I'd have been better submitting blank squares than some of the first attempts I made XD I've made my own banners for LJ so that's about all the experience I have, shrinking it to icon proportions was the hard part lol

I'm a scrapbooker and creative writer so I think the titles and text thing isn't something I'll move away from easily - I do like a good pun or a smart comment but its all intentional :D And I can't say I made these with a competitive streak in mind - I just did them to fit the brief and made them so I'll actually use them lol

Thank you for the kind comments on them though, I really do appreciate it. I was inspired by the incredible icons in this comm and its incredibly challenging and unnerving entering one of the rounds - at least I can say I tried lol

(and yay for Shawn too, I love that man <3)
