slashburd | The 'It Begins' videos..

I haven't posted much here these last few months but I'm still religiously watching the rasslin. What I'm dying to tell someone is how much I hope that the whole 'It Begins' nonsense involves Steph and Shane coming back and taking over the company. I would mark so hard if that happened. I wonder if everyone is reading too far into the videos i.e. it's a boy and a girl who could well be related - is it more obvious than we all think!! (Forgive me, I'm reaching here, I know!)

Sadly I suspect that it might be something to do with Taker which would be the worst possible thing for me as I can't stand the guy. If it's Jericho I'll be kinda surprised as I don't honestly expect him back until after Mania when Rock might have trotted off to Hollywood again. I'd much rather see Y2J back than Taker though.

On a side note as well I'm kinda surprised by the level of brutality in the whole Kane/Cena segment on Monday. It didn't bother me but I bet it was a tough swallow for some of the kids who are Cena fans. Maybe it will lead to his turn, I can only hope so finally. And although John might be making cash on the 'Cena Sucks' t-shirts there's something about the fact that they're selling them that doesn't quite sit right with me if on no other basis than it being an odd thing to do to the only very recently deposed poster boy of the company.

I love Taker so I won't mind if it is him but it would be refreshing if it's someone you wouldn't expect. With Taker being out for awhile and had time to heal, alot of people expect these videos to be about him and it would be surprising if it ain't. But it wouldn't bother me none if it happens to be him, since I like him anyways.

I like your idea about Shane coming back. We haven't seen him in along time and he actually was pretty good at being hated. LOL

Yeah, tell me about it. Did you hear the girls in the corner screaming and yelling for Cena to get up and the fact that they loved him, I think one person even shouted, Marry me?. I just found it funny.

I'm liking the feud. I just hope that Kane comes out on top because if not, then it'll be kind of stupid. Because they are doing this for Kane to resurrect his monster ways ain't they. And if he loses to Cena, I don't see how that would be doing it. lol

I have not yet seen these t-shirts. Maybe it's some inner-plot for when Cena does (If it's true about all the rumors) goes heel.

I agree that Kane should hold the upper hand - I don't know where they're heading with it but there's no point bringing Kane back masked if he's not going to be a super bad guy!!

And the t-shirts are legit, I've seen photos of them from the merch stands and apparently it's on sale on dot.com too. I'm not sure who's buying them but an online comment somewhere said they were selling well at live events!!

Cena and Kane is awesome. I'm not bothered by the brutality and rather welcome it. Kane is that character that cannot be swayed by conscience. He's not an angry tank like Mark Henry, or Big Show -- he's calculating, and pain doesn't bother him. So it has to be brutal, there is no other way.

....And you know all my thoughts on Cena turning heel if/when/whenever. :-) WAITING FOR IT PATIENTLY!

The turn just has to come now, right? They can't break him down and down and him just come back /again/ can they? I mean, I love the guy to pieces but something's got to give. His thing with Kane is a breath of fresh air from the Rock overload it's been lately so I can't complain too much, I just wish they'd given it some story first rather than expecting us to put the pieces together!!

It seems like that shirt would have been a better option when he was top face and the lot of fans were like -___- at him. Cena's hot, but I'm just... eh. I LOVED LOVED LOVED him when he would do the raps and first did the FU on the Big Show. But even if I'm not a Cena fan, I don't... the shirt's an interesting er... judgment call.

Didn't the Miz have an anti-Cena shirt? It was funny, because it came from a character and during a time when he was super popular and super do-not-want at the same time.

I completely agree - they missed the boat big time considering how Punk's merch is apparently outstripping his in sales already - are they gonna buy their hero's shirt or waste $30 on a shirt just to hate someone?

The rap gimmick was awesome, at least it was edgy at the time. He was super non-PG - the time he slapped Steph's ass when he was super young still tickles me now!

I doubt it is Shane, he very clearly sold off most of his stock and has been doing other projects away from the family. Unless Steph and Hunter somehow convinced him. It's not Jericho --he's off being a rock star, and if you look at the notebook that's thrown on the floor, the name Chris is written on the cover and then crossed out in black marker. I suspect it's Taker/McCool coming back. I WANT it to be someone else. I would love to see Steph back in control. The Billion dollar Princess is a force to behold, but I doubt it.

See, I know it's a really remote possibility that Shane would ever return but it never stops me hoping. I think him and Punk would be good together for some reason :)

And I'm with you on wanting it to be someone else - whilst I respect Taker's longevity in the business I'm just not interested in him at all. That said, unlike most fans, I'd be happy to see him v Hunter again this year at Mania. Mainly if Hunter wins :)

Steph back in charge full time could be brilliant, there's so many angles they could run with. Her getting rid of Ace, pulling strings that only she can pull as her daddy's daughter and then being super evil would make 2012 so awesome :)

Evil!Stephanie is awesome. Hell, I even miss the bottom-feeding, trash bag 50 cent hoe. (to mis-quote a beautiful Canadian).

I would LOVE Steph & Shane back. I have a feeling it may be Taker, but it would be nice if it was someone unexpected. I hope it's Y2J. I'd love if it was Shane & Steph. It seems like it should be painfully obvious to me, but it's not. I'm certain we shouldn't be analyzing this to death, but it's certainly fun to watch.

The promo reeks Jericho but its almost too easy even for him. The initial video screamed The Taker but now after hearing so many other theories, I really have no earthly idea who it is. Shane/Steph run a close second in theories but I've also heard Paul Burchil and Katie Lea, Brodus Clay and Taker/McCool.

Guess we'll see.

Also, I am NOT happy about the "Cena Sucks" shirts. ><

And you and I need to pencil in two dates.
