I read that and was like "huh, maybe he should said that like a month ago."

He should've said it before Mania this year. I get that Rock = ratings but he's like the absentee father of the WWE that the fans keep expecting to turn up. People might mock Cena but his dedication is like no other in the current era.

I do love fired-up John though :D

I'd like this more if he was able to say stuff like that on TV. You know...where more people could see it. Rock does = ratings, I mean no one can argue his ability to make people WATCH the program.... I'm on the fence. I love and respect both guys for their work and professional/personal drive.

They're far more similar than portrayed, character-wise. Rock just had the TIMING -- Attitude Era was literally do or die. "GO AHEAD, SAY ANYTHING" Considering the alternative was losing the Monday Night Wars and being ruled by Bischoff and Co...

I love Rock, and I love John. If anything, Wrestlemania will be interesting!

I love 'em both. I do. With that said, I should be more excited about this feud, but I can't wait for it to end. Seperately they're great. Together, they annoy the shit out of me. I wish he would get to say this stuff on TV & after I saw CM Punk on last week that everyone would say stuff like that. That was only 2nd to like 3:16. Cena's fan dedication is awesome though. I don't think I'd ever expect him to say anything bad about anyone else (besides "wrestling" skills) outside of the ring. I can't see him talking trash on the radio like some people.

Late reply is sooooooooooo late :D

I'm no Rock fan tbh but I can see his appeal to the masses. I just think it's a shame that the new guys get shoved out of the main event to accomodate him. I'd much rather see Cena/Barrett or Cena/Punk main eventing Mania next year. That said I could live with a Rock/Austin showdown - I'd prefer to keep the retro guys retro for mania matches and HHH/Taker is proof perfect of how well that can work.

How's things with you btw? You managed to choose a school yet?

I don't think he should main event, either. And I would also be happy with Rock/Austin. Austin's one of my favorites!

Things are going slowly. I haven't yet picked a school but I'm thinking about it all the time. I'd like to go for a writing program & there's a creative writing program here in Charlotte. I'm thinking about going to the Art Institute of Charlotte maybe for graphic design. I'd like to write for TV (ideally in WWE.).. I know it sounds silly but the more I hear about everyone complaining about Creative, the more I think I could improve it. I can't tell you how many people have laughed at me for saying that because apparently if I'm not a wrestler, I can't work there.

I don't think the WWE have any interest in people having a wrestling background. They're more interested in people who have written soaps/dramas as that's what they're manipulating the product into.

Whatever you decide to do I'm glad to see that you're going to pursue a dream which is a damn sight more than most people ever do!

I don't think that WWE is looking for people with that background either. I can't tell you how many people have laughed at me for it, though. I guess they think that it's anarchy there or something. That no one runs the company. With all the affiliates & everything, the doubters must still think it's the days of Hogan or something. They're all like, "but you're a girl!" *eyeroll*

Cena won't really say this on air, but he knows it will get around via the net. He said he was hoping someone was recording it. I find the Rock/Cena stuff so annoying because Rock can't or won't do anything. I would love to see him do something against some of the mid carders, lock up with Orton, anything other than just show up on April 1st. (or a week or two before.) It sucks that the ME for Mania is already sewn up. And John used the banned, off-limits and dreaded 'w' word. It's Superstar now John-John, didn't you get the memo?

I think it's sad that the fans that think they're smart about the business can't see how epically trolled they are by The Rock. The guy came back as if it was the second coming of Jesus, Cena got hated on more and more for nothing more than not being The Rock and then they just handed him Mania's main event for very little effort or appearances in the run up to it. And then the fans lap it up! ffs!!!

I'm just glad that John gets his voice out there every now and again, not least because he's absolutely right. I do love how Punk is now on that bandwagon with him. It's not just 'Cheesy Cena' that knows Rock is taking the piss out of everyone with not showing up etc.

Love it when John actaully gets to say what he really thinks - and every word he said is true!! The Rock made this big thing about coming back...ummm where are you then?!! John is on the road 300 days a year traveling 100's of 1000's of miles meeting & greeting fans inc those who hate him and wish vile things on him and the man still does it with his whole heart. So pleased John got to say this and god bless mobile phones and the internet which means we all get to hear it and see it :)

Late reply is late lol

As I've said above it just pisses me off that a half dozen guys who should be in the main event aren't and then they bring Rock in who gets that gig without doing the graft and travel. Lame.

The other thing is that even from the perspective of being a fan of actual wrestling that match is likely to suck. Let's face it, John could sell everything beautifully, slap Rock in the surfboard, hit 2 enzugiri's and they'd still chant that he sucks because it's the Rock. Cena has nothing to win from this match. If he wins, he loses as he'll be unpopular for going over Rock. If he loses then his credibility is shot down even more than usual - i.e. he was never good enough to hang with Rock in the ring. Apart from big buyrates, a decent merch cut and the chance to say he's wrestled Rock I can't really see why John agreed to it :S

totally and utterly lame and frankly insulting to the guys who work hard each and every day for the company as well :(

Yeah I'm starting to dread the match - although part of me is really really really hoping its all an elaborate April Fool's joke and the Rock will fail to materialise or something. I know it won't happen but it would be better than John having to fight the match.

I'm doing okay, ty <3 Getting back to normal now my shoulder isn't as painful!! And ty for saying you like my new header - I had a bit of an overhaul and seeing as they got split in the draft it seemed kinda appropriate :)

How's things with you? How's the icon making going? :)

That's good, *HUGS* It is appropriate as you said.

It's good. I haven't been making anything new since making my new header, I'm sure I'll get back into it though. But for right now, I just haven't had anything that I've wanted to icon.
