New music giving me chills!!
Aug. 15th, 2011 10:27 pmI'm a rap fan. I don't come across like one, don't dress or act like a stereotypical one but my love of the spoken word is often sated by the cleverer rappers.
I don't know if I've mentioned Watsky before but check him out on Youtube - his rap over Pumped Up Kicks has rendered the chart version unlistenable for me!!
BUT....... that's not the track I'm hooked on at the moment. If, like me, you feel lyrics, seek out meaning and love the genuine side of music then check this guy - Dumbfoundead. He's just getting a real rep on Youtube and going viral with this track, Are We There Yet -700k views and counting!!! It tells the story of his mother's journey to enable them to live in the US, his uncertainties about love and the way his life is geared around his music. I absolutely love it. It's not hardcore stuff, has a great flow and just check it out - you might just like it :)
